About the Tournament

The Florida Blue Key Speech and Debate Tournament at the University of Florida is the largest student-run forensics competition in the southeast United States. It is one of the top high school tournaments in the nation and is held annually each fall. Last year, we hosted our first-ever virtual tournament using the software Classroom Cloud. The tournament is student-run at the University of Florida and our current team includes nine Executive Members, nineteenth Directors, and forty Assistant Directors.

History of the Tournament

The first Florida Blue Key Speech and Debate Tournament was held in 1983.
