Established in 1994, The Gator Guard is a society established by Florida Blue Key in order to recognize individuals for outstanding dedication to the forensics art. Membership in the Gator Guard is an honor bestowed upon the individual in order to recognize them for the tremendous dedication to the Florida Blue Key Speech and Debate Tournament, the University of Florida, and the National Forensic League. This lifetime achievement award will be given by the Speakers Bureau Executive Committee whenever they feel there are individuals worthy of recognition.
